Automatic data import
From December 2016 the Envirometer can automatically import data from other sources due to the added API (Application Programming Interface). The API links can be established between environmental surveys and external data sources such as measurement data for an energy company. Thus, it becomes filling of the Envirometer even easier.
Het Meetbedrijf
Het Meetbedrijf is the first party that has established a data link with the Envirometer. What do they offer?
- Every company with smart meters can let their monthly energy data be automatically imported into the Envirometer(s) by Het Meetbedrijf.
- You can add the several meters (for example, two connections at the same location).
- For two small smart utility meters (gas and electricity), you pay less than a tenner each year for this service.
- For Large utility meters Het Meetbedrijf offers the Envirometer Service as part of the measurement services. That means you can switch to ‘Het Meetbedrijf’ for the measurement services that are probably at this moment performed by your network operator. This is often cheaper and use of the automatic import function with your Envirometer(s) is included.

Other data links with the Envirometer
Also, other parties may establish links with the Envirometer for their customers so that data is automatically forwarded. For example for waste figures, or vehicle fuel consumption. You will receive Stimular instructions on how to achieve this. In order to be able to establish the link to the external data, the source must also be provided with an API.
